Dreel Halls: the only community-owned and volunteer-managed halls in Anstruther.
Dreel Halls is owned and managed by Anstruther Improvements Association (Scottish Charity Number SC016109) for the benefit of our local community and visitors to Anstruther. The landmark building includes the 16th century St Nicholas Tower and is named after the burn that runs close by. With two flexible venues – the larger Lower Hall and the smaller Upper Hall – Dreel Halls has hosted all kinds of events and activities from ceilidhs to concerts, craft groups to games nights and exhibitions to regular weekly clubs.
We keep our prices low so that the halls are accessible for the many, not the few. We do this by running on volunteer-power and asking our users to leave the halls as they found them. Running the halls this way ensures that as many people as possible can afford to enjoy Dreel Halls.
